The 2025-26 season began for the No. 16 Ashland University wrestling team with a fourth-place finish at the 14-team Glenville State Pioneer Open.

With 115.5 team points, the Eagles ended only behind first-place Glenville State (174), second-place Belmont Abbey (141) and third-place Indianapolis (121).

Two Ashland grapplers earned titles at their respective weight classes on Saturday. Redshirt freshman
Fletcher Rose was 4-0 at 184 pounds, earning a pin in 3:33 and winning three decisions; and junior
Peyton Lemon finished 4-0 at 197 (two technical falls, two decisions).

Luke Acuna ended second at 125, going 4-1 (three major decisions, one decision), while freshman
Michael Millin placed third at 285 pounds (4-1, two pins in 35 seconds and 1:10, two decisions).
