The third and final round of Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic was played on Tuesday (Oct. 7), with Ashland University's women's golf team finishing in eighth place in the 17-team field.
Ashland finished as a team at 322-317-307—946. The host Oilers won the event (298-297-299—894), followed by Grand Valley State (302-301-305—908) and Indianapolis (310-304-297—911).
Two Eagle youngsters led the way at Findlay, as both freshman
Anna Machamer and sophomore
Sammi Miller tied for 16
th individually. Machamer ended at 80-77-74—231 and with two birdies, while Miller was 79-78-74—231 and with three birdies.
Sophomore
Dakota Riley tied for 48
th (80-78—83—241, four birdies), senior
Klaira Paramore tied for 52
nd (83-84-77—244, three birdies), and junior
LeeAnn Harker was 77
th (88-86-82—256, two birdies).
Junior
Riley McKenzie played the tournament as an individual, and tied for 33
rd (79-78-80—237, five birdies).
