On Monday (Oct. 6), Ashland University's women's golf team played the first 36 holes at Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic.
The Eagles ended Day 1 in eighth place (322-317—639) in the 17-team field. The host Oilers are leading the field at 298-297—595, followed by Grand Valley State (302-301—603) and Indianapolis (310-304—614).
Freshman
Anna Machamer and sophomore
Sammi Miller led the AU team effort on Monday, finishing the day in a tie for 23
rd place individually. Machamer's day was 80-77—157 (one birdie), and Miller's 79-78—157 (one birdie).
Sophomore
Dakota Riley is tied for 30
th (80-78—158, three birdies), senior
Klaira Paramore is tied for 63
rd (83-84—167, one birdie), and junior
LeeAnn Harker is tied for 79
th (88-86—174).
Playing as an individual was junior
Riley McKenzie, who tied for 23
rd at 79-78—157 (five birdies).
