It was a big day of academic honors for Ashland University's track and field program on Monday (July 15), as the Eagle men's and women's teams were named All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and 17 Eagles landed USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status.

Here is the criteria for a team be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Team:
- The cumulative grade-point average (not 2023-24 academic year, not semester) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, certifiable by the institution's registrar.
- Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
Ashland's women had a 3.40 cumulative GPA, and the AU men boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.08.

Here is the criteria to be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition. Data must be certifiable by the institution's registrar.
- Must have completed at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution.
- Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
- The student-athlete must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.
