Women’s Golf Ties For Fifth Place At William Beall Fall Classic

Ashland University's women's golf team played the third and final round of Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic on Tuesday (Oct. 1), and the Eagles finished the tournament in a tie for fifth place in the 18-team event.
 
With a team score of 300-305-300—905, Ashland trailed only the host Oilers (290-289-291—870), Missouri-St. Louis (295-288-299—882), Lynn (297-303-297—897) and Tiffin 299-300-300—899).
 
Freshman LeeAnn Harker once again paced the Eagle effort, tying for ninth individually at 74-73-73—220. Harker had seven birdies on the tournament.
 
Senior Emma Conway tied for 15th at 77-75-71—223, and had four tournament birdies.

  • Sophomore Riley McKenzie tied for 43rd (75-80-78—233, three tournament birdies), junior Klaira Paramore tied for 46th (79-77-78—234, three tournament birdies), and senior Grace Grant tied for 57th (74-81-81—236, six tournament birdies).

The Purple team will play on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 5-6) at the John Carroll Fall Invitational.
