To start the Music City Invitational outside of Nashville, Tenn., Ashland University's men's golf team is in sixth place through Monday's (April 3) first round.
Playing the first 18 holes in the 12-team field, the Eagles ended Monday's round at 296. Missouri S&T is first (288), followed by Drury (289) and both Maryville and Trevecca Nazarene (290 each).
NOTABLES
- Senior Andrew Kolar is tied for seventh individually with an opening-round 1-under-par 71. He had four birdies on Monday.
- Sophomore Matthew McMullen also is in the top 20 after Monday, as he is in a tie for 18th with a 73 (three Monday birdies). Freshman Dylan Dunn is tied for 22nd after carding a 74 (also three Monday birdies).
- Both freshman Carter Mishler (three birdies) and senior Logan Thomas (four birdies) ended the day with rounds of 78.
