Five Eagle Track & Field Greats To Compete At Olympic Trials

Five of the best to ever put on an Ashland University track and field uniform will compete at the 2020 United States Olympic Track & Field Team Trials in Eugene, Ore., starting on Friday (June 18).
 
Trevor Bassitt, Alex Hill, Katie Nageotte, Myles Pringle and Drew Windle all will look to secure spots on Team USA at Hayward Field. The top three finishers in each event will qualify to be on Team USA for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, postponed to July 23-August 8, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fourth-place finisher will be an alternate.
 
"Ashland is incredibly proud of having five Eagles at the pinnacle of the Olympic Trials," said Ashland head track and field coach Jud Logan. "It will be an experience of a lifetime, and an opportunity for some to hopefully make Team USA in Tokyo."
 
NBC and NBC Sports Network will televise the Olympic Trials, and NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app will present exclusive streaming coverage of select field events.
