Overwatch Squad Selected To Compete at HUE Invitational

The Ashland University Overwatch team was selected to compete in the Harrisburg University Esports Invitational which will take place virtually Sept. 19-20.

The Eagles' Overwatch squad was one of 32 teams out of more than 100 nationally that applied to compete at one of the nation's premier esports events.
 
"HUE has always featured the best of the best in collegiate esports and this year is no different," said esports head coach Josh Buchanan. "We are excited and feel incredibly fortunate to still be able to compete while social distancing."

The event is typically held in person in Harrisburg, Pa., but this year the teams will compete virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The Overwatch starting lineup for the Eagles includes:

Flex DPS: Cole "Memes" Weber, freshman
Main Tank: Matthew "Ancient" Cook, freshman
Off Tank: Jacob "CheesyDance" Owens, sophomore
Main Support: Sadae "Revalia" Smith, freshman
