For the second year in a row, Ashland University senior right-side hitter Alli Cudworth has earned regional recognition from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).
After being a second-team All-Midwest Region selection in 2015, however, Cudworth has earned first-team honors in 2016, as the D2CCA All-Midwest Region teams were revealed on Tuesday (Nov. 29) afternoon.
Cudworth, who became the first AU player to earn four first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors earlier this fall, has recorded 470 kills, 57 service aces, 387 digs and 64 total blocks going into Thursday's (Dec. 1) NCAA Division II Midwest Regional quarterfinal against Lewis at 2:30 p.m. at Ferris State University.
On Nov. 19, Cudworth became the third player in program history to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. With 1,721 career kills, she is fourth on Ashland's all-time list.
