Tennis Falls To Oilers on Sunday

The Ashland University women's tennis team nearly won two singles matches, but host Findlay swept the match from the Eagles, 9-0, on Sunday (March 18) morning in Findlay, Ohio.

The Eagles (8-14) dropped all three doubles matches before moving onto singles play against the Oilers (6-5).

At second singles, freshman Anna Hart took Sheridan McLean to a third set, but ultimately fell by a 6-1, 5-7, 10-4 score.

Junior Chelsea Myers was narrowly edged by Kristi McDonald at No. 6 singles, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 11-9.

The Eagles will play their first home match of the spring on Thursday (March 22) when they play host to Mercyhurst at 3 p.m.
