Ashland Loses To SVSU, Will Play For Seventh Place In GLIAC

Ashland University women's tennis lost its first consolation bracket match in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday (Oct. 28).

No. 4-seed Saginaw Valley State topped the Eagles, 5-0, at the Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Mich.

Freshman Sofie Garpered and junior Natalie Keron put up a good fight in third doubles, but ultimately lost, 8-5.

Sophomore Allison Brooks, named an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention on Friday (Oct. 27), lost at No. 6 singles.

The Eagles will play the loser of No. 6 Michigan Tech and No. 7 Ferris State in the seventh-place match Sunday (Oct. 29) at 8:15 a.m.
