Eagles Fall To Grand Valley State At Home

Playing in their next to last match at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex for the 2017 fall season on Saturday (Oct. 14), Ashland University's women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Grand Valley State.

The Eagles are 3-6 overall and 1-6 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and still are in the hunt to return to the GLIAC Tournament for the first time since 2013. Ashland is a half-match out of the eighth and final spot in the conference tourney.

The Lakers are 7-0, 7-0.

Ashland's closest match of the day came at first doubles, where freshman Camille Ringot and sophomore Brianna Brdicka lost by a 9-7 count. 

UP NEXT: The final home match of the 2017 fall campaign on Sunday (Oct. 15) at 1 p.m. vs. Ferris State (3-4, 3-4).
