Eagles Fall To Oilers, 7-2, At Home

Ashland University women's tennis lost to Findlay, 7-2, at home on Saturday (Oct. 1).

Junior Elizabeth Kidd was a part of both Eagle victories on the day, winning 6-3, 6-1, in sixth singles, and pairing with sophomore Natalie Keron to win 8-2 in the third doubles spot.

The wins were Kidd and Keron's firsts on the season.

"The girls are continuing to make improvements and become more disciplined," AU head coach Lexi Bolesky said.

Keron also put up a fight in third singles, losing to Oilers' sophomore Sheridan McLean in three sets (5-7, 6-2, 10-4).

Freshman Allison Brooks also came close to earning her second college win. She lost in No. 5 singles to Findlay freshman Kaylee Davis, 6-3, 7-6, 11-9.

"We are very proud of our efforts today," Bolesky said. "We are motivated to get back on the courts tomorrow."
