The NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament will be a 48-team, single-elimination format. In each of eight regions, six teams qualify, with the top two teams having first-round byes. The tournament will begin on Nov. 11, with the D-II championship game slated for Dec. 3 in Kansas City, Mo.

In the Midwest Region, automatic qualifiers come from the GLIAC, Great Lakes Valley Conference and Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The other three teams are chosen as at-large entries. Thirty-seven schools from the GLIAC, GLVC and GMAC, as well as two independent teams, make up the 39 women's soccer teams in the Midwest Region.
