For the second year in a row, Ashland University senior defender Jessica Brown has earned a spot on the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team in Division II, District 4, as the 2016-17 teams were released on Thursday (Oct. 27) afternoon.

Brown is in her second consecutive season as a starter and third overall, and has recorded a goal and an assist in 15 games, while leading a backline which helped the Eagles allow just 13 goals in 2016.

A two-time member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Excellence Team, Brown has a 3.99 cumulative grade-point average as an Exercise Science major.

Brown will advance to the 2016-17 CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot in Division II. That team will be announced on Nov. 21.
