AU Women Finish Third At Rain-Shortened Trevecca Invite

Rain cancelled the second round of the Trevecca Nazarene Fall Invitational on Tuesday (Oct. 27), leaving Ashland University's women's golf team with a third-place finish in the one-day event to close out the fall portion of the 2015-16 schedule.

The Eagles shot a 322 as a team at Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn., four shots behind host Trevecca Nazarene (318) and just one stroke behind second-place William Jewell (321).

Junior Kaitlin Neumann paced the AU effort on Day 1 with a 77, good for a tie for second place individually. Freshman Monica Torda and senior Ali Green each shot 79s and finished tied for sixth.

Freshman Kayleigh McHugh carded an 87, while junior Emily Jereb posted a 96.
