Women’s Golf Ninth After Third Round At Nationals

Ashland University's women's golf team is in ninth place after the third round on Friday (May 15) at the 2015 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.

The Eagles finished with a Day 3 team score of 324. Ashland is at 324-315-324—963 going into Day 4. Indianapolis continues to lead the 12-team pack with a three-day total of 913, followed by Rollins (924) and Lynn (925), the two-time defending national champion which has recorded back-to-back team totals of 304 and 300.

Junior Ali Green and senior Madison Musick tied for the low round for AU on Friday, each firing a plus-7 79. Musick is tied for 23rd individually through three rounds at 77-79-79—235. Green recorded four birdies during Friday's round.

Sophomores Kaitlin Neumann (82) and Emily Jereb (84), and senior Abby Tepe (85) rounded out Ashland's lineup on Friday.

The fourth and final round of the Championships will be on Saturday (May 16), with the Eagles beginning to tee off at 9:45 a.m.
