Eagles Finish Fifth at Findlay

The Ashland University women's golf team finished in fifth place Monday (Oct. 10) at Findlay's William "Bing," Beall Fall Classic, held at the Findlay Country Club.

Grand Valley State led the 15-team field, shooting 625. California (630) finished five strokes back of the Lakers and Gannon (639) was third. The host Oilers (646) barely edged out the Eagles (647) for fourth place.

AU senior Erin Misheff (Silver Lake, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) tied for fifth place. She shot 156. Junior Holly James (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) finished seventh. James carded a score of 157.

Grand Valley State's Sarah Hoffman was the medalist. She shot 147. Cal's Dianne Luke (148) was second.
