For the 12th consecutive year, Ashland University's women's track and field team has earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to be in contention for Scholar Team of the Year, a program must finish highly at the respective national championship meet and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point average. Ashland's women boasted a cumulative team GPA of 3.39.
Ashland's women's team is one of 191 teams (115 women's, 76 men's) honored by the USTFCCCA for their academics.
The Eagle track and field program has earned USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year honors seven times – men's indoor and outdoor both in 2009, 2010 and 2014; and women's indoor in 2010.
