The Ashland University men's and women's swim and dive teams fell in Meserly Natatorium on Saturday (Nov. 7) to the Wayne State Warriors.
The Eagle men fell, 155-130, and the women came up short, 164-125.
The score didn't reflect the success many Eagle swimmer saw in the water on Saturday.
AU senior Hannah Mattar had a nice day, claiming victory in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.95), 200 breaststroke (2:28.36) and the 200 individual medley (2:12.07).
Eagle junior Megan Schultz also collected two first-place prizes, as she won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.60 and the 200 back in 2:10.44.
Freshman Daniel Callis was electric in the breaststroke. He won the 100 in 1:00.23 and the 200 in 2:15.84.
The Eagles will return to the water on Dec. 4-5 at the Eastern Michigan Invitational.
