AU Softball Ends 2014-15 In Division II Top 20 In Team GPA

Ashland University's softball team finished the 2014-15 school year in a tie for 18th in Division II in team grade-point average, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced on Tuesday (Oct. 13).

The Eagles had a 3.492 team GPA, barely finishing out of the Top 10 in the country.

On Oct. 6, 11 AU softball players – junior pitcher Sarah Alley, junior catcher Bri Buckley, sophomore outfielder Ally Farrah, junior pitcher Brittany Flanigan, sophomore second baseman Kalene Freshour, junior outfielder Erika Garant, senior pitcher Amber McDermott, junior shortstop-outfielder Shelbie Prince, junior third baseman Kayla Prokopakis, sophomore outfielder Jenny Raguz and senior shortstop Jamie Weber – earned 2014-15 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
