Ashland University senior center fielder Taylor Menhart has earned a spot on the 2014-15 Capital One Division II Academic All-District Softball Team in District 4.
Menhart, a first-team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, is hitting .423 with 45 runs scored, 16 doubles, seven triples, seven home runs, 41 RBIs, seven stolen bases, a .506 on-base percentage and a .765 slugging percentage.
She also has a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average through the fall 2014 semester as a Commercial Art major.
Menhart will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later in May.
The 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
