The AU softball team improved to 4-1 with a 4-3 win over Quincy on Monday morning (Mar. 3) in Clermont, Fla.
The Eagles got a two-run homer from outfielder Taylor Menhart in the third inning and a two-run double from first baseman Jen Moore in the sixth. That was just enough scoring to get a win over the Hawks (7-4). AU managed four hits off of Quincy hurler Murphi Armstrong (4-1).
Menhart has a team-high five RBI.
AU pitcher Sarah Alley upped her record to 3-0 with a route-going performance. Alley allowed three runs on three hits. She has a 1.02 ERA. This was Alley's first start since pitching a no-hitter against Felician on Sunday.
