The Ashland University softball team has been invited to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the third consecutive season. The Eagles are the seventh seed overall in the Midwest Region and will play Indianapolis, the second seed, on Friday (May 13) at Saginaw Valley State. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
Ashland and Indianapolis will be joined by SVSU and Northern Kentucky in this half of the Midwest bracket. The other half of the bracket will play at Grand Valley State. The four teams that will play in Allendale, Mich., are Grand Valley State, Tiffin, Quincy and Lewis. Tiffin is the top seed in the region.
The Eagles are 32-17 and finished as the GLIAC runner-up last weekend.
The regional tournament at Saginaw Valley State will run Friday through Sunday, May 13-15. This is a double-elimination tournament. More details on the tournament will be released later this week.
