Baseball Moves Up To Fifth In Midwest Region Rankings

2016 NCAA DIVISION II BASEBALL REGIONAL RANKINGS

In the third and final set of 2016 NCAA Division II Midwest Region rankings released on Wednesday (May 11), Ashland University's baseball team moves up one spot to No. 5.

The Division II baseball postseason selection show will be Sunday (May 15) at 10 p.m. on NCAA.com. Eight teams from each region qualify for the NCAA postseason, May 19-23 at on-campus sites. In the Midwest, the champions of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference and Great Midwest Athletic Conference receive automatic bids.

The 2016 Division II Baseball Championship is May 28-June 4 in Cary, N.C.

The Eagles (31-18) will begin the 2016 GLIAC Tournament on Thursday (May 12) at 10:30 a.m. against Walsh (26-24) at the Athletes in Action Sports Complex in Xenia, Ohio.
