Many Activities On Tap For Baseball Youth Day

Ashland University baseball's annual Baseball Youth Day will take place on Saturday (May 2) at 1 and 3:30 p.m. when the Eagles play host to Wayne State at Donges Field.

Activities during the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader include: Receiving a free t-shirt, courtesy of Donley Ford of Ashland; free Pizza Hut pizza, a chance to yell "play ball" after the national anthem, a chance to be the public address announcer for the bottom of the fourth inning and a chance to participate in on-field contests to win prizes from Besta Fasta Pizza, Chipotle, Chuck E. Cheese's, Cinemark 14 Mansfield Town Center, Donna D's Family Pizza, DorLo Pizza, Family Video, Fazoli's and Fin Feather Fur Outfitters.

Ashland, ranked No. 21 in Division II and winner of the GLIAC's first-ever South Division championship, is 28-14 overall, 17-9 in the GLIAC and 13-5 in the South. Wayne State is 19-20-1 overall, 13-12-1 in the conference and 10-7-1 in the North.
