2013: Kaido played in all 56 games and started 55 times. He was second on the team in batting average, hits, RBI and on base percentage (.446). He led the team in triples, stolen bases, runs and walks. Kaido was named the most valuable player at the GLIAC Tournament. In five games he hit .521 (10-for-19) with six runs scored and two RBI. The third baseman tied for sixth in the conference in stolen bases, was seventh in batting average and 14th in RBI. Kaido was named honorable mention All-GLIAC.
2012: Kaido had a breakout season, hitting a team-best .348. He also paced the Eagles in hits, triples and total bases (80). Kaido was the only player on the team to play and start every game. Kaido was tied for ninth in the GLIAC in total bases. He earned honorable mention All-GLIAC honors.
2011: As a freshman, Kaido played in 18 games and started nine times.
High School: Kaido prepped at Zanesville High School, lettering in baseball, golf and soccer. He was named first team all-district three times and first-team All-Southeast Ohio Athletic League twice. He batted .500 with 51 hits and 44 RBI in his senior season He also hit three home runs in one game. The Blue Devils were regional runners-up twice and won two district championships while Kaido played.
Personal: Kaido is the son of Mark Kaido and Jackie Nezbeth. Kaido is majoring in history and political science. He was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team in 2012 and the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team in 2013.
