ASHLAND, Ohio – With rain forecasted for Wednesday (April 20), the GLIAC baseball modified tripleheader between Ashland and Tiffin at Donges Field has been pushed back to Thursday (April 21).
First pitch is still set for 12:45 p.m. The teams will resume their suspended game that was started at Tiffin on March 30. The Eagles were leading, 2-0, in the top of the second inning at the time play was halted. Following the completion of that game, the teams will play their regularly-scheduled doubleheader.
The Eagles (21-12, 10-8 GLIAC) have won nine of their last 11 games and are coming off a 3-1 weekend at Saginaw Valley State; meanwhile, the Dragons (8-25, 5-14 GLIAC) have lost eight straight and are coming off four-game sweeps at the hands of Lake Erie and Grand Valley State.
Ashland is still scheduled to host GLIAC South rival Wayne State on Friday and Saturday (April 22-23).
