Ashland University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will host a bake sale and cornhole tournament on Nov. 10 on the front lawn of the Robert Troop Center, prior to the Eagle football team's Senior Day game at 1 p.m. vs. Northern Michigan.
The bake sale will begin with walk-up signups at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10, while the cornhole tournament will start at 11:30 a.m. with a $5-per-team entry fee. A prize will be awarded to the winning team in the tournament, and both the bake sale and the cornhole tournament will conclude prior to the start of the football game.
All proceeds from both events will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Said AU SAAC president Jay Slone, "Our SAAC committee is very excited about the upcoming bake sale and cornhole tournament. We think it's a great event to raise money for Make-a-Wish, as well as have fun with the Ashland students and community before Senior Day."
Slone said the goal for 2018-19 for SAAC is to raise $4,500 to allow for a wish to be granted through Make-A-Wish.
