OhioHealth, the official healthcare provider for Ashland University Athletics, is having a biometric screening event on Nov. 5 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center's second-floor conference room.
Those who schedule an appointment by Oct. 31 will be entered in a drawing to win two tickets for the AU football team's regular-season finale, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. vs. Northern Michigan at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field. Those tickets include entry into the OhioHealth loge and a fully-catered lunch.
A biometric screening is a combination of measurements and screening tests that are helpful in identifying potential risk factors for chronic conditions like heart disease, hypertension or diabetes. The quick medical tests use certain body measurements and finger stick testing to measure glucose, blood pressure and body mass index.
The entire screening takes about 10-15 minutes.
